You will warmup with gentler mat-based movements to prepare the muscles for more challenging work. Each pose builds on the one before it to strengthen the body for what is coming next.
Exercising on unstable equipment such as the exercise ball improves strength, balance and posture. Standard and small exercise balls, and dumbbell weights will be used. All-Levels
First and foremost, dance fitness stands out from technical or traditional dance in that technique and intricate choreography are not the main focus. You are not spending weeks or months perfecting a single routine in anticipation of a show or recital. Instead, you will show up, work up a sweat while following an instructor. It's a high intensity dance party that fuses some popular styles of fitness and dance! Dance Fit borrows moves from many styles. Some may include Jazzercise moves like grapevines; Hip Hop moves like hip-swaying and chest pops; Ballet inspired moves like plie’s or leg lifts. Broadway, Latin, and Burlesque styles may also be incorporated. Burn up to 600 calories per hour.

In this workshop style class, you will get into the nit & grit of the alignment and the benefits of the yoga asanas. You will learn what muscles to use and alignments to perform yoga in a safe and effective manner. Learn the how and why in this beginner class.
You will practice about half the number of poses you might practice in a Vinyasa Flow class. The pace is meditative, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind. We hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose, instead of moving to each breath. All-Levels.
Build strength & flexibility. Traditional yoga poses are modified using chair, blocks, straps, and light weights. Taking care of your body is our #1 priority, but we will help you go further than before. You never know, you might just surprise yourself!
